Against Abuse, Inc. Tax Credit
Domestic violence is an issue that impacts communities across Arizona and touches the lives of countless individuals both directly and indirectly. Against Abuse, Inc. is a community oriented organization that helps survivors escape violent situations and build lives free from domestic abuse and sexual assault.
With the passage of SB1216, the Arizona Tax Credit for Qualifying Charitable Organizations has been doubled! Get up to $800* in dollar-for-dollar Arizona State Tax Credit when you donate to Against Abuse, Inc.! In addition, you no longer have to itemize to take the credit!
Amounts lower than $400/$800 also qualify, so a $100 gift qualifies you for a $100 tax credit on your state taxes, lowering your final amount owed.
What was formerly known as the Working Poor Credit is now officially known as the credit for Donations made to Qualifying Charitable Organizations. This change was made in 2013 to reflect the expansion of the credit to include foster care organizations.
